Could Slim 999 Dragons Den be the new magic pill to save us all from obesity or just the newest SCAM that could put us in the hospital all the while robbing us blind of our hard earned money? This is a question many are asking themselves considering the amount of press Garcinia Cambogia is getting online. Everywhere you turn you are offered this magic pill and after some consideration, I decided that it’s time to give it a try and do a quick review of my experience.
Starting with the Official Slim 999 Dragons Den Website
This is what the official website has to say about Slim 999 Dragons Den: Look great today! Impressive, so the results are that quick? There are plenty of great benefits that it lists which would make every even slightly overweight individual flock to buy it. From allowing you to eat the food you love and still lose weight to allowing you to transform your body easily and quickly with little to no effort. It goes on to say that you don’t have to diet or exercise to see results! Wow, this must really be some magic pill. Have you ever heard of the saying “If it sounds too good to be true, then it isn’t?”. I think this is what initially set me off on this mission.
What is Slim 999?
Actually, throughout my research I have found plenty of great things about the fruit itself. It is found in Southeast Asia and India and is regularly eaten by the natives there. It is both nutritious and delicious and was used in the past to suppress hunger or to allow hunters to spend more time out hunting without requiring food. But, simply because it worked for them it doesn’t mean that it will be effective on Westerners that live more stagnant lives and eat horrible food.
What this pumpkin shaped fruit offers is HCA, or Hydroxycitric Acid, which is extracted from the rind of the fruit. This is actually the main ingredient in Slim 999 Dragons Den and as per the official website, there is double the dose of HCA in the supplement than in any other. At 60% HCA in the supplement it really does have a lot more than many other Garcinia Cambogia supplements on the market, however, does that necessarily mean that its better? What HCA does is increases the serotonin levels in the body which helps emotional eaters as well as helps prevent fat from being formed. It does two great things, keeps you from consuming calories and burns fat which is great but this all has to come at a price right?
The official website also goes onto say that the supplement is produced in GMP Certified Labs and is even registered in the FDA. What they do fail to mention is that supplements are not tested or regulated by the FDA which means that regardless if they are registered or not, no one is actually guaranteeing the safety or effectiveness of Slim 999 Dragons Den. This alone is a bit worrisome, but given the fact that there is no supplement on the market that is regulated or tested by the FDA it is acceptable.
How does HCA in Slim 999 Dragons Den Work?
What HCA does is it inhibits citrate lyase enzyme within the body which is an essential catalyst in the metabolic process of converting carbohydrates to fat. Basically, it prevents fat from being formed from consumed carbohydrates. It also serves as an appetite suppressant and reduces cravings all the while helping emotional eaters by managing stress hormone. Thus being able to battle the difficult to control belly fat.
This is all fantastic but aside from the benefits, nothing else is mentioned. Yes, they do mention that it's 100% natural and that it is very effective but they fail to mention the numerous side effects and even warnings.
What are the Side Effects from Slim 999 Pills?
There are many worries about the side effects when taking even natural supplements as, after all, it is something you are taking with the goal of changing the way your body works. This, of course, will have effects. Not to mention that it basically tells you that it’s a magic pill that will help you magically lose weight without any effort.
Known side effects are as follows:
- Dry Mouth
- A headache
- Upset Stomach
These side effects do not seem all too alarming however one thing does. In 2009 the FDA actually warned everyone to stop using Garcinia Cambogia to lose weight as there were some indication that it can cause serious liver problems. This was never proven as in the supplements there is a lot more than just extract from the plant so it was never cleared up what caused the complications but they were certain that it was linked to the supplement sold. A lot of time has passed since so you never know, perhaps the ingredients are different, but we’ll never know considering that they don’t actually list them.
Do also keep in mind that Garcinia Cambogia extract interacts badly with the following:
- Asthma & Allergy Medicines
- Diabetes Medicines
- Iron for Anemia
- Pain Medicines
- Prescriptions for Psychiatric Conditions
- Statins (drugs lowering cholesterol)
- Blood Thinners
Of course, as with many supplements do not use if you are pregnant or nursing and do keep in mind that if you have kidney or liver problems this supplement may cause complications.
Still Interested and Want to Buy?
Oh, go right ahead. I did my share of trying and honestly didn’t see any results. I ordered the free trial at $4.95 and gave it a shot for 14 days and was not impressed. I was also not impressed by their horrible membership program where you are automatically subscribed to receive bottles month after month while your card is being charged $79.81 plus $4.95 shipping & handling. Yes, I managed to cancel my trial in time but I can’t say it was an easy or pleasant experience.
Would I Recommend Slim 999 Dragons Den?
Honestly, spend your money on a good gym membership, sign up for dance classes, go travel, but don’t waste your money on the newest SCAM. You will see much better results by simply taking the time to take care of yourself, go to the gym, eat healthily, and simply enjoy life than by spending absurd amounts of money on Slim 999 Dragons Den.
